Beer has been brewed in Trondheim throughout the ages. It is a proud tradition that has been passed down over many generations.

This tour gives you a taste of some of the city’s best breweries, small as well as large. You will get to taste many varieties of beer and learn about the proud brewing culture in Trondheim.
The tour starts outside the Trondheim Tourist Information Office in Nordre gate 11. You will be met by a city host who will guide you through some of the city’s best breweries. The first stop is Trondhjem Mikrobryggeri, which continues Norway’s earliest microbrewing traditions. The next stop is ØX Tap Room located in a 300-year-old cellar vault, which brews beer with a combination of traditions from Italy and Trøndelag. The final stop is the venerable E.C. Dahls, which has brewed beer since 1856.

Bårdshaug Manor was the home of founder Christian Thams, who was an architect, minister, landowner and consul. Thams bought Bårdshaug Manor in 1890. The house was rebuilt in different styles according to his own drawings. The result was a distinctive manor house and a unique sight in the area - then as today.
